Energy Recovery Ventilation Solution for Football Changing Rooms in Uruguay

Project Overview

A customer in Uruguay required an efficient fresh air ventilation solution for football changing rooms, where indoor air quality and ventilation are important for maintaining a comfortable environment.

Due to the frequent occupancy and physical activities in changing rooms, the ventilation system needed to provide continuous fresh outdoor air while recovering energy from the exhaust air.

To meet the project’s specific requirements, the customer selected four customized Sunchine Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs), equipped with enhanced filtration, CO₂ monitoring and variable frequency fan control.

Project Requirements

Drainage System: Stainless steel drain pan for condensate collection and drainage.

  • Air Filtration: G4 pre-filters and F7 medium-efficiency filters to improve incoming outdoor air quality.
  • CO₂ Monitoring: Integrated CO₂ sensors for indoor air quality monitoring.
  • Fan Control: Variable frequency fan operation for flexible airflow adjustment.
  • Heat Recovery Efficiency: Target heat recovery efficiency of 65%.
  • Heat Exchange Core: Epoxy-resin heat exchange core.
  • Unit Structure: Double-skin panels with foamed insulation for improved thermal insulation.

Sunchine’s Customized Solution

The equipment was designed to provide fresh outdoor air while recovering energy from the exhaust air, helping reduce ventilation-related heating and cooling loads.

Key design features include:

Advanced Air Filtration

Each unit is equipped with G4 pre-filtration and F7 medium-efficiency filtration to improve the quality of supplied outdoor air.

CO₂ Monitoring & Variable Frequency Control

Integrated CO₂ sensors monitor indoor carbon dioxide levels, while variable frequency fans allow flexible airflow adjustment according to ventilation requirements.

Efficient Energy Recovery

The epoxy-resin heat exchange core is configured to achieve a target heat recovery efficiency of 65%, supporting energy-efficient ventilation operation.

Durable & Insulated Construction

Double-skin panels with foamed insulation provide thermal insulation and structural protection. Stainless steel drain pans are incorporated for condensate collection and drainage.
